In Japan, there are two study abroad exams and proficiency tests.
The entrance examination for national universities and top private universities requires certain grades in the study abroad examination, so if you do not get the required score, you will not be eligible for the entrance examination.

Students in January who pass the first examination in Japan will be able to choose the examination at each university between August and December. If you fail the first exam, you will have a chance to take the second study abroad exam, and if you pass, you will be able to choose the exam between January and March of the following year.
April and July students fail to take the first exam in time, so they can take the exam in December, but they have two chances the following year. There will be three university selection periods during the course of study.
Students who enter the school will have two chances to take the exam the following year.
however, if you do not pass the study abroad exam, you should take the university entrance examination that does not require the study abroad exam immediately. the school's admission guidance staff will support you.

Long-term students are admitted four times a year in April, July, October and January. The application deadline for the Tokyo Immigration and Eximination Bureau (Immigration Bureau) is around November 20 of the previous year for April-born, around March 20 of the previous year for July-born, around May 20 of the previous year for October-born, and around September 20 of the previous year for January-born.
